Whetu Christmas Count Down Wreath. Third Task.
This is my Third task for the Christmas Count down. For the options you had to try and recreate was a Wreath that you had to try and recreate like I said. I chose to do this Wreath because it looked unique to me. I tried my best creating a wreath on google drawings the hardest part was making the bow, because every time I attempted making the bow it would always go wrong, like it would blow up because I forgot to make it connect to the end part and, many other issues but I finished making the bow. You may be wondering how I made the top part "Original and My Own", I used the wonderful tool called word art. I have used it before but I wanted to use it again to make it go Kaboom and pop! I hope you got a tip of of google drawings.
Christmas Count Down Research about Santa. Second Task
Here is my second task for Whetu Christmas Count down. Where the information is I tried making Christmas presents, and I think they look pretty close to Christmas presents. For the options you had for Research was technically all the same, you just had to research about a country and what they do and how they celebrate, Christmas but one of them was different you could research about facts animals and all of that. I like how my facts have turned out and how I thought out of the box doing Christmas presents to show my information. Just remember its time to get in the Christmas spirit to have some Christmas fun learning about Santa!

Christmas Count Down Wrapping Paper! First Task
For this Week the teachers made a Digital Christmas Calder, and every week we get knew tasks I think. This task is make your own Christmas wrapping paper, but the options you had was make lines of Christmas trees, make rotating Santa's or a kiwiana theme. If you do not know what Kiwiana means it means, things that you can only find in NZ. I chose to do the lines of Christmas trees. For the first set of tress I attempted to make Christmas lights, I think I did pretty good they look pretty realistic. Then for the second set of tress I did ornaments the big ones have pictures and the small ones just have, blended colours. I love how my Christmas wrapping paper turned out and I hope my whanau will like it too, because that's there wrapping paper for this year.

Enjoyable Day-Out doing Real Life Whetu Survivor!
For the 2nd last Week of School our teachers wanted us to have the times of our, life's and I believe we did. Since we have been doing Whetu Survivor tasks we kind of made Whetu Survivor come true, but really the teachers made it come true.
Like for instance Miss Sowdens tasks she had done past weeks were Native Trees and learning Navigation skills, so the real life task she chose was Navigation so we went out Orienteering, to go find clues to undo a riddle. But before we went out she talked to us about Orienteering, that it is a job and you can get paid quite a lot for doing orienteering. Then she sent as to go find the set place she had given us then carry on to different places at NPS.
Mrs Kennedy's two tasks that she had done during weeks were Shelter building, and Starting Fires the final real life task she had chosen was Starting Fires. We got to try out her Flint and Steal and attempted making a spark. Then Group by Group got to make a little TP out of wood but, we did not get to light our little fire because there was like ninety of us. Since we had Five minutes left we all gathered around Mrs Kennedy hoping that we could light a fire but it was to windy but it was all good. It was really fun and challenging trying to make a spark a few people made sparks, and a couple did not and that was me but I did not give up but then I ran out of time.
Last but not least Mrs Heaven, the tasks she had chosen during weeks were the following Learning and tying different, types of Knots and cooking the one she chose was cooking when we were in her group you made a small sugary dessert and a savoury. When we had made the food we had to wrap it up in tin-foil, because Mr. Hitch-man and Mr. Sing had to put it in the pizza ovan, so it would actually cook and not had to eat a raw potato. When we were making our food we got to make a savoury and a sweet, small dessert like I had said before. The savoury was a potato with gooey cheese and ham in the middle it was delicious. Now for the small dessert, but it was acutely pretty huge, we made a Banana or you could call it a Banana boat, but anyways it had marshmallows and chocolate chips. I do not know how the banana tastes because most of it got all over my bag, but oh well I am going to try it at home and then I will tell you how it tastes. Anyways back to the potato, when I opened the tin foil from the potato all I could see was cheese, because I love cheese so I obviously stuffed it will cheese and ham.
Overall I rate the Teachers skills, fun and commitment a 10/10, because all of the tasks we did we had completed was outdoors and the teachers did not give up on us, so thank you very much teachers for the fun day out doing challenging Survivor tasks. Hopefully we can do something unique and fun for next year with, a different team and new students one more time thank you Whetu teachers.
