Chapter Challenge Task Research Centre Term 2 Week 3

This Week for Chapter Challenge I deiced to do Research Centre, what we had to do was do some facts about turtles and present it in a cool way. I had an idea first I was going to do it on paper for like a poster, but instead I did it on Google Drawings. First I started by making a couple triangles and put them into place, then I blended blue for a splash of colour. Then I attached some white letters to spell out turtles then started re-wording everything so it is not copy write. Ka BOOM there it is my Chapter Challenge. It took me a while to finish it but I got it done. I enjoyed learning new things along the way about google drawings, I think I have created a Supernova.

This is what I have made :)

Coding Challenge with Emojis! Term 2 Week 3

This Week for one of the Maths Challenges was to Code with Emojis! At first it seemed hard because you had to add up what they were worth together, but then I got the hang of it. The thing that helped the most was that at the very top it said what the emojis was worth, which made it easier. The one thing that made me frustrated was that I had to keep on adding in text boxes, because there were none. Afterwards I got it. I really enjoyed it because it was something really different instead of doing boring stuff and it changed my mood.

Here is what I got and did.

Origami Candy Containers!

Today I made some Origami Candy Containers, the reason I called them Origami Candy Containers is because you can take of the rubber bands and receive your candy prize. I enjoyed making the Origami Candy Containers because they were quite easy, to make it only needed a couple of folds and then a little bit of gluing and your done. The thing I liked the most is that they are all different because of the different type of paper I used.

Here is the Origami Candy Containers!

Chapter Challenge Task Creation Station Term 1 Week 2

This Week for Chapter challenge I decided to do Creation Station. What you had to do for Creation Station is to make a advert or a poster of Juicy-Os. Juicy-Os are Peters Dads favourite, anyways instead of doing a poster I did a mini newspaper. First I got a piece of paper and folded the paper in a origami way because origami is my strength, once I did that I lightly drew on each page to say what I wanted it to say. Then I changed it with a splash of colour did some final details and boom there's my newspaper. If you wanted to know I fit in two games, one was Word Search the other Serious Sudoku. Then I did couple adds including Juicy-Os if you did not know by the photos. :)

  Here's my Mini Newspaper

Maths Challenge!

Today I started the Maths Challenges for each day of the week. Today's maths question was "Can you make 6 squares only using these 9 matchsticks." I think that I got it, and what I did was make a knots and crosses board and BOOM, I got it. I tried several times to get it and I finally got it! It was pretty hard at first because it felt impossible but I got it in the end. Can you think of a different way! Well stay tuned for tomorrow because I will be doing it tomorrow. :)

ANZAC Wreath.

This year for ANZAC day I deiced to make a wreath to hang inside from our window. I made a wreath to remember the people that went to war for us that's why I put remember in the middle or the wreath. When I started first me and my Mum traced a plate, then we cut it out carefully. Next we painted it green so you could not see the brown from the cardboard. Later I made the poppies to go all around the wreath, while doing that I made some leaves to go behind the wreath so it had more detail and "BOOM" we hang it up and took a picture "Clink." It was very fun creating the wreath because I put on some music on and calmed down. What have you made for ANZAC day remember its on the April the 25th on Saturday. Just because we are in lock-down does not mean we can't do anything because we can create something, or even bake Anzac cookies!

Here is the progress and the finished result

Korean Donuts!

During lock-down at home me and my Mum have baked Korean Donuts! We had to go through many different steps to make Korean Donuts, but the most interesting step for me was starting to make the dough because the yellow dough water, had to be a specific temperature or else you would kill the yeast because yeast is alive! Also yeast has to be kept in your fridge because like I said yeast is alive and likes to be kept cold. The coating that is on top of the Donuts is cinnamon and sugar, we had to shake them up to combine them a bit. I enjoyed making Korean Donuts with my Mum, because we like to make jokes along the way. The Donuts were delectable, I recommend to try to make Korean Donuts because they are the best!
