Whetu Survivor Knots Reef Knot.

For this Weeks Whetu Survivor Knowledge Seekers got to learn about Knots, with Mrs Heaven, Mrs Loft, and Mrs Fraser. There are so many types of knots but on this post I attempted the Reef Knot. When you tie this knot you need to make sure that it is finished by easily sliding, it side to side if it does not slide to side then you may have made a mistake but that is okay, because it took my a little while to make it perfect because when you make a mistake you learn from it.

This Knot is my favourite knot because it kinda reminds from under the sea like coral or something. It is easy if you practice a couple of times. I rate this Knot a 3/5 for difficulty because if your a beginner for tying, then it will be pretty hard but then you will get the hang of it then you will just want to keep on trying and tying this pacific knot. 

Whetu Survivor Knots Alpine Butterfly Knot.

For this Weeks Whetu Survivor Knowledge Seekers got to learn about Knots, with Mrs Heaven, Mrs Loft, and Mrs Fraser. There are so many types of knots but on this post I attempted the Alpine Butterfly  Knot. This Knot is pretty difficult I would rate it a 4/5 because, you have to twist it around and around on your hand. And you could easily mess it up but that's okay because when you make a mistake you learn from it, and you just have to remember to never give up and have hope because it will work. I would use this knot when I go camping then if my string breaks then I would tie the two ends together and then, create the Alpine Butterfly Knot because did you know that it is the strongest knot ever. 

Term 4 Week 4 Chapter Chat Creation Station Origami Medals.

This is my Chapter Chat I made Origami Medals. That took hours like literally hours, but I think that I made something unique because nobody for Chapter Chat, has ever made anything origami. To me the hardest part was the whole thing because if you do not know what origami is, it is the Japanese way of art of folding paper in to decorative shapes and figures. I wanted to try something by thinking outside of the box, which I think that a have achieved that goal. I really like that I chose to put one set of Olympic rings on one of the medals, because to me it makes it 10 times cooler than it originally was. Ok so we finished Ghost I know it is pretty sad but anyways, I am going to give you a little bit of a blurb of information about what happend. So I left at the secrets and dinner so a lot has happend so Ghost went to training with his silver bullets, new stolen shoes. They go get there new uniform that looked  electric blue, Defenders written in gold writing with a fist of gold Crunching something, and Ghost was last to get his but then he asked "Um what about my uniform" Coach replied with a grump"Oh here it is" he had pulled out a piece of paper from this large box, and it said with fire hot writing shoplifter has stolen $299 worth of  shoes if you see this young boy then please call, 132-657-890. "GHOST WHY DID YOU STEAL SHOES" But Coach" SIT" Then Coach told Ghost ever thing about him like, he lived on the same street as Ghost and when coach was a l boy he made it, to the Olympics then he ran and won that's why I made the medals, anyways then since his dad loves drugs he sold the medal for $20, for drugs. Long story short Ghost made it to his first race and got ready and then that was the end...

Peaceful Perfect Pukekos Shelter Building!

For our last activity about Shelters we got to build a Shelter! It was pretty hard because we were all stressed to make our tent, so my title is technically the opposite of what it says, but I still like the name. My teammates were Paige, Shelby, Asha, Brigitte and Chloe. We thought that we needed to tie our rope, really high but we were wrong because then Mrs Kennedy came and said "Tie it down low because it is only supposed to be a one person tent" then we were like ohhhh because we all thought that it needed to fit all 6 of us, but we just needed to make a one person tent. During building the tent/shelter we made some funny camping jokes like whats a trees favourite drink? Root Beer, and a lot more. I think the easiest thing was working together because we all would say something, nice to keep us going. But it was really fun in the end but a bit frustrating, at times. When we started to give up I said come on guys, just because we are failing does not mean we have lost yet, so then we restarted again again and again. Now we know that even though there is 6 of us, it just needs to be a one person tent because just imagine that, your in the wilderness unprepared for the unexpected.

Shelters, shelters, shelters, building shelters is a good skill to learn, even if you don’t like going outside, you never know when you will be faced with a situation where you have to spend the night unprepared in the wilderness. 

Favourite Shelters

Our first favourite shelter is the Tarp Shelter/Tent. We want to do this one because it is simple and more like a real tent/shelter, so it is like your out on a camping trip but your really not.

Our second favourite shelter is the Spider Shelter, we would like to build it because it looks really spooky and kinda haunted, plus it is really easy to make check out this website, to see how you make it. It is mostly made out of leaves and branches to protect you from the outside.

Shelters, Shelters, Shelters, there are so many types of them, like a bush-craft shelters animal shelters and many more.  Did you know that shelters are actually really helpful, like for instance if the sky goes really manky and it looks like it is going to rain, then just quickly build a shelter with the things around you, then it protects you by keeping you dry from the rain. Or if there is wild animals around you then if you build a shelter about medium size then they cannot get in because if you make, it to big then they can squeeze in through the gape.

                    Where to build shelters/Good places to build
The best habitat to build a shelter is flat and dry ground, plus branches and leaves. You want to build your shelter on flat and dry land, because it is more stable because if you have wet gooey land then your shelter/tent, will sink into mud that's like quick sand. If you build on a sloped area then your shelter will most likely go down the slop. But like I said in the top peace of shelters you should really use the stuff around you instead of losing your spot for looking for better materials. When you build shelters a good idea is to build your shelter on high ground because if you get hurt then somebody will see you so then you should get help straight away.

Term 4 Week 3 Chapter Chat Digital Design.

This is my Chapter Chat for Week 3 Term 4.  Now I am going to carry on explaining to you about my task.  Behind Mr Charles is sunflower seeds on a shelf, I made the cool looking sunflower seeds myself, I was going to make a sunflower plus seed equals sunflower seeds. If you can see I made him reflect on the counter because I personally think, that he cleans it twenty four seven.  Ok know lets leave talking about my Chapter Chat task, because know your going to be informed about what has happend is Ghost, so far. So we left of when Ghost went to the country shop telling Mr. Charles why he is not at school, a lot has happend since then. So Ghost went back to track but then he forgot that on Fridays, there is no practice. So then he went to the basketball court, since he loves basketball. Then he kept carrying on about the people that was always there, like the try hards always try's but never gets a hoop, then the smelly one's, who always sweats but he talked about much more. Then he forgot to mention that for all the newbies gets to go to Chinese and gets to welcome themselves, to the team. Ghost was so exited because he always has to eat hospital food, because they can not afford good food so he had to save some of his, food for her. He got duck which I am surprised that he got duck. Then Coach Broody made them say a good/bad secret about them self's, and you have to come up what ghosts reason was...
